Janelle

Janelle was born in Port Angeles, WA in 1973. She attended high school in Forks, WA and graduated in 1991.  Upon graduation Janelle was interested in the field of Dental hygiene, so she enrolled in the dental hygiene program at Clark College in Vancouver, WA, and graduated in 1996 with her associate degree in Dental Hygiene.  Janelle is certified in many advanced areas of dental hygiene such as dental filling placement and the administration of local anesthetic.  While the North Carolina dental laws do not permit hygienists in our state to perform such procedures, Janelle’s experience in periodontal offices and extra training only adds to her exceptional abilities to meet the periodontal needs of Dr. Mason’s patients.  Janelle and her husband Gary were married in 1998, and lived in the Vancouver, WA area until the year 2000.  In 2000, she and her family moved to Sylva, NC where they still reside.  They have 3 children: Tyler 10, Ryan 6, and Jason 2. Janelle’s children are very active in year round sports so when she is not in the office, you can usually find her on a baseball field, football field, or a basketball court.  Outside of being active in her sons’ sports, she enjoys shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Janelle has been a Dental Hygienist for going on 14 years and has been a wonderful addition to Dr. Mason's practice since February of 2009.
