Hi! My name is Trey.  Yes, I am Dr. Mason's son, and no, I'm not planning on going to dental school.  I've traveled with my parents to all the extensive continuing education courses that my father has attended since before I can even remember.  His dedication to perfection and to his patients has to be a rare trait, but one that I always admired, even at a young age.  There is a piece of my homework from the third grade hanging on the wall in our office to show just how early I noticed his dedication.  I wouldn't really understand just how dedicated he was until I started working in his office.

I've worked in the lab part-time since I was 14 years old.  When the CEREC was reintroduced to my father's practice along with a much improved 3D version of the design software, I began playing a more integral role.  The CEREC allows doctors to design and mill perfect restorations in the office, the same day, and to their exact specifications.  The only drawback to this technology is it requires a staff member with a very high aptitude for computers in conjunction with an equal knowledge of tooth structure and anatomy.  Obviously, Dr. Mason could do this himself, but it took too much of his time and detracted from Dr. Mason's desire for a pure focus on his patients.  So I began learning the software and designing crowns part-time after college every day.  As with anything, I got better and faster the more I practiced.  I gained such an understanding of the machine and the software that between my father and I, we did things with the CEREC that the people who sell it, teach it, and even designed the CEREC itself didn't believe could be done!  Another advantage is since my father says I am far better on the CEREC computer than he is, together we are able to produce an exceptional restoration at a lower cost to you.

In 2008, I decided to join the practice full-time as the CEREC specialist and office manager.  I also use my knowledge of computers to design and maintain this website.  Since the whole office is computer-based and digital, my computer background is invaluable.  I love what I do and I love working with both my parents and the wonderful team that we have assembled.  It's truly a joy and an honor!  And if you are ever fortunate enough to find yourself in our office, you will see why I feel that way.
